Yoga Classes
Welcome
Hi, and welcome — if this is the first page you’ve landed on, my name is Kaye.

I am a fully qualified Yoga Teacher (350+ hours) and have been teaching fitness and movement-based classes within the local community for over 12 years. My journey into yoga grew from a love of movement, wellbeing, and creating spaces where people can slow down, reconnect, and feel more at home in their bodies.

My role as your yoga teacher isn’t to push or perfect you — it’s to guide you. I’m here to hold a safe, supportive space where you can explore your practice at your own pace, build strength and mobility, and develop awareness of both body and breath. Just as importantly, yoga is about learning how to hold that same safe space for yourself — on and off the mat.

Whether you’re completely new to yoga or returning after time away, my classes are inclusive, grounding, and adaptable, encouraging you to listen inward and move in a way that feels right for you.

What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha Yoga is one of the most traditional and widely practised forms of yoga, and it forms the foundation of many modern yoga styles.

The word Hatha comes from Sanskrit:
-
“Ha” meaning sun
-
“Tha” meaning moon
Together, Hatha represents the balance of opposites — strength and softness, effort and ease, movement and stillness.

In a Hatha Yoga class, postures (asanas) are practiced more slowly and mindfully, with time to explore alignment, breath, and sensation. Poses are typically held for longer than in faster-flow styles, allowing you to build strength, improve flexibility, and cultivate awareness without feeling rushed.

Hatha Yoga is:
-
Grounding and steady
-
Accessible for beginners
-
Supportive for those wanting a slower, more mindful practice
-
Ideal for building a strong foundation in yoga
-

Classes often include breathwork, gentle movement, held postures, and relaxation, making Hatha Yoga a wonderful choice if you’re looking to reduce stress, improve mobility, and reconnect with your body in a calm, supportive environment.
