What Happens During a Sound Bath Session?
When you arrive, you’ll find the room gently set up to feel calm, welcoming and safe. I’ll be positioned at the front or centre of the space, surrounded by a collection of sound healing instruments, creating a cocoon of sound for everyone in the room.
I will guide you to arrange your mat so that each person can fully experience the sounds and vibrations. During the session, I may move around the room with certain instruments, allowing the frequencies to gently reach you from different angles — so everyone receives the full, immersive experience.
You’ll be invited to settle yourself in, and get cosy with your cushion and blanket. Comfort is key — this is your time to soften, rest and simply be.
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, full-body meditative experience. Once you’re settled, there’s nothing you need to do. You don’t need to meditate in a certain way or “switch your mind off” — just lie back and allow the sounds and vibrations to wash over you as I play instruments such as singing bowls, chimes and other soothing sound tools.
Everyone experiences a sound bath differently. You might drift into a deep meditative state or fall asleep. You may notice colours, gentle tingling, emotional release, or a sense of deep calm. Or you might simply come away feeling lighter and more grounded. There’s no right or wrong — each session meets you exactly where you are.

During a session, your body and mind are immersed in vibrations and resonant tones created by instruments such as crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes and tuning forks. These vibrations don’t just stay at the surface — they travel through the body, interacting with cells, tissues and the nervous system.
The frequencies help guide your brain from busy, active states into slower, more restful brainwaves associated with deep relaxation and meditation. This shift supports clarity, emotional balance and a sense of inner stillness.
Sound also gently encourages the parasympathetic nervous system — your body’s natural “rest and digest” mode — helping to slow the heart rate, reduce stress hormones and support the body’s natural healing processes.

Through a soothing Hatha yoga practice, guided meditation, reflective journaling, and an immersive sound bath journey, you’ll be supported in softening, opening, and simply being — just as you are.
